About Us
The objective of the Lamar Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers coincides with those of the National Society which is to stimulate and develop student interest in engineering; to strive to increase the number of students studying engineering at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; and to endeavor in the advancement of the ethnic minority engineer in professional industry. The mission statement of the Lamar Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers, who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.
