Parent & Family Program Updates!

We have some exciting new updates for Parents & Families, and we want to make sure you're in the loop!
In addition to our Facebook Page, Lamar University Parent & Family Programs, we now have an Instagram: @LuCardinalFamily! Follow us to stay up to date on all things related to your student’s experience.

This semester, we're also launching our Family LU HUB page!

Just like your student uses LU HUB to learn about campus events and connect with organizations, now you can use it to receive important updates, chat with other families, and stay informed about what’s happening on campus.

We highly recommend logging into LU HUB and exploring its features, including the "Events," "Forum," and "News" tabs. You can also personalize your experience by selecting your student’s graduation year, choosing whether you’d like to receive the newsletter, and requesting Spanish translation if needed.

LU Ring Ceremony 

We are excited to announce that Lamar University is starting a new tradition!

For the first time ever, Lamar University will be hosting an official Class Ring Ceremony! If your student has completed at least 75 credit hours, they are eligible to purchase a class ring. All students who purchase a ring will be invited to the ceremony and are welcome to bring as many guests as they would like.

This will be a memorable experience that your student won't want to miss. If you have any questions regarding the ceremony, please visit our website or email serviceandleadership@lamar.edu. We look forward to celebrating this special moment with your student!

Spring 2025 Family Day

We are still finalizing the details for the event, but we will be announcing registration information soon for our Spring 2025 Family Day!

For now, be sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, April 5th! We look forward to seeing you and your family here on campus!

January 20 = Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday | No Classes; Campus Offices are closed for the holiday.
January 21 = Last day to register for Spring 2025 courses
February 03 = Census day and last day for full refund on dropped courses (not withdrawn) - Contact Registration@lamar.edu for drop information and Cashiering at 409-880-8390 with any refund questions.
February 04 = Final Payment due at 3:00 PM | Courses will be dropped for students who have not paid in full or made payment arrangements. View Payment Options
March 10-14 = Spring Break | No classes; Campus offices are closed Wednesday, March 12 - Friday, March 14.
March 22 = The Big Event
March 24 = Last day to drop or withdraw | See the General Catalog or contact Registration@lamar.edu for more information.
March 29 = LU Ring Ceremony
April 04 = Last day to apply for May 2025 graduation
April 05 = Spring Parent & Family Day
April 18 = Good Friday - No Classes 
May 07 = Last Class Day
May 9-15 = Final Exams | View Final Exam Schedule
