The purpose of this organization shall be to promote service at Lamar University's community at large, to provide for professional development of our membership. and to offer a social outlet to all those interested in the dental industry.

Section 1. All Lamar University students, who are officially registered, faculty and staff who are interested in the dental industry are eligible for membership into the Lamar University's Pre-Dental Society. Section 2. In order to be regarded as an active member of the Lamar University's Pre-Dental Society at Lamar University with voting privileges, a student must pay in full their dues six weeks post start date of the semester, attend at least two of the meetings per semester to maintain active membership status, participation in service activities sponsored through the organization, and maintain good academic and judicial standing with Lamar University. If negligent in paying dues in full or on time, not attending the expected amount of meetings per semester, or participating in service activities sponsored through the organization, the member in question will be noted as an inactive member of the Lamar University's Pre-Dental Society at Lamar University. If a conflict arises due to Lamar University curriculum, the member in question's situation shall be reviewed by the current officers and the current officers make the ultimate decision on their active/inactive status.
