Our mission is to empower, educate, and equip women with the skills, confidence, and professional connections necessary to excel in their future careers. We foster a supportive community, where ambition is celebrated, leadership is developed, and success is shared.

Members a part of the WPO could receive benefits through membership such as…
1. Professional Development- informative workshops (test taking and personal essay tips), guest speaker events (invite board members of professional schools in Texas), career panels (discussing how to decide what pre-professional track is best for you)
2. Networking Opportunities- mentorship partnering (pair lowerclassmen with upperclassmen of the same professional track to aid one another), mixer events (with other pre-professional groups and social clubs to expand members’ social web)
3. Academic Support- study groups/accountability circles (for common courses or pre-professional exams: MCAT, DAT, LSAT), scholarships/internship alerts (monthly updates and reminders through emails)
4. Leadership Opportunities- officer roles (application embellishments along with gained experience), event planning/public relations roles ( within the organization and campus-wide)
5. Community and Sisterhood- social events (coffee chats, brunches, wellness evenings), retreats ( more realistically, end-of-semester celebrations), merchandise (exclusive to members), repeating from the second point, mentorship partnering (not just academic support but emotional)
6. Recognition and Awards- member of the month (posted to social media page as encouragement), certificates of participation (awarded at the end of the semester for active members: sister of the semester award, scholar sister award, best brother award , sunshine sister award, community service award, social media star award, event MVP award etc…)
7. Community Service- access to a wide variety of volunteer projects and service hour tracking
